Corrie Star 'Accidentially' Torched in a Fire On Set!

 

80 year old, Eileen Derbyshire, was accidentally set on fire and it "wasent part of the script" says a member of the production team.

Eileen was on set filming the 2011 bonfire episode when a wax candel fell onto her from a shelf. Her faberic raincoat baked whilst she was tangled inside.

The camera crew jumped to her aid with a fire extingusher. The actress was rushed into hospital.

The filming was delayed for over 12 hours whilst the 80 year old received medical treatment in hospital. None of the on-set managment team was prepared for an accident this crucial.

Eileen survived the blaze with a few burns on her skin that will heal over time and a crusty old raincoat, reduced to ash. Im sure the crew will take more caution when next filming a bonfire episode.
